Dear gorgeous person, you!

So this happened! You all remember Swag and Nupur from a previous blog titled 'Dinner with the Gangulys'. In that blog, I mentioned that Nupur deals in art and that I would be attending her next exhibition in Mayfair, London. As promised, I took some pics so you all could be part of it too. The exhibition was on for five days but we could only attended the opening night on Monday the 14th of September, timed perfectly after work. The joys of working in Central London, hey!

As expected, it was a lovely cultural evening held in the splendid surroundings of the Nehru centre with amazing artwork in the distinctive Kalighat style - including pieces dating back to the 1920s.

There was lots of tasty food and wine on display and it was lovely to see my Nupur in her element, looking nothing short of fabulous as usual. She was such a fantastic hostess, alongside her business partner and co-owner of NuGa Art, Gargi Yadav. They both looked and talked the part, making sure everyone understood the different storylines being told by each picture. This was especially useful to an art novice like me.

The feeling of being able to support your friends is fantastic. Having never been to a properly organised evening of art display, I was totally blown away by it all. E was by my side too but as you can see, I was the photographer for the night, hence sadly no pics of me - but I'm happy with that. It was more about the art.

Let's just all take a minute to appreciate Swag's sister's eyes! Her name's Diya (far right in pic below)! To see more of NuGa Art, do visit their website and FB page.

Have you been to any art exhibitions lately? Do you know much about art? Why don't you let me know in the comments section below. Also, feel free to educate me on how to appreciate art a bit more... God knows I need it.

Lots of love,
xo xo
