FILMING SARAH YULL

Dear gorgeous person, you!

Gosh I'm so happy to finally be able to share this blog with you! I first discovered Sarah on Youtube where I had seen this amazing video she made about Yull Shoes. Immediately, I was absolutely fascinated by her - how young she was, the way she composed herself and pardon me for stating the obvious - she's a shoe designer!!!!!!

I had to contact Sarah and so I did (thanks Twitter!). Luckily she replied straight away saying she was interested in being filmed for Career Profiles. Didn't take us long - we booked a date within a week and then this happened!

Sarah was just as I imagined and then even better. She is absolutely lovely, so down to earth but just not your average girl next door. I admire her courage, doing something that I could only ever dream of. She's such an inspiration to young people out there who may be apprehensive of taking that plunge and living their dream.

It's no surprise however that Sarah has become a shoe designer, she let slip to me that her dad owns over 120 pairs of shoes!!! Whaaa!!!!

Check out our gorgeous Model Naomi doing her thing! In the video, Naomi models all the shoes! I so want her legs! #WishfulThinking.

I do hope this video inspires you as much as it does me. I filmed it all myself, for the first time ever and I am so so proud. I think I definitely need a second camera though as you can only see shots of Sarah's profile, where she is turned, speaking to me. Not a bad thing at all when you look like Sarah (brains with beauty - lucky moo!), however for you guys at home, it's nice to be able to see the whole facial reaction of the person you're watching. So that's one lesson I've learned.

I've also really enjoyed editing this. As explained in this video, I've never really been a huge fan of editing simply because my OCD brings out the perfectionist in me and it takes me FOREVER to edit because I want everything to be perfect. However, this only took me 3 long sittings, spaced out with days in between.

I'm so proud of this piece, I'm so proud of Sarah too. Make sure you check out the Stockist section on Sarah's website for places near you to buy you pair of Yull shoes. I'm still deciding whether to go for the Chelsea boots or the Chartwell - LOVE the mustard Chartwell in particular. I have to have a Yull shoe for summer!

Lots of Love,
J
